On September 3, 2567, Associate Professor Piya Prasongchan, Vice President of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, assigned Mrs. Daowadol Sawatdilanont, Director of the Student Development Division, and Mr. Sampueng Meena, Health Educator of the Student Development Division, to organize a mental health screening and counseling activity under the Quality Counseling and Support Workshop Project.

Associate Professor Dr. Khwanhathai Jai-piam, Vice President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus, invited the university’s executives, staff, and students to participate in the mental health screening and counseling to enhance the capabilities of both personnel and students at the Withan Santi Meeting Room, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus (Sai Yai).

Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya aims to produce and develop skilled personnel to become professionals in technology and innovation with deep expertise, reliability, responsibility, discipline, and a commitment to lifelong learning. This approach addresses future development needs and ensures high academic and professional standards. Strengthening the mental resilience of students is crucial to helping them cope with potential psychological impacts. The university recognizes the importance of developing social and life skills for students according to the university’s mid-term strategic development plan (2023-2027).

To enhance the skills of personnel in providing effective counseling services to students and prevent unforeseen psychological issues, the university proposed the Quality Counseling and Support Workshop Project. This initiative is crucial for advancing Thailand towards Industry 4.0 by preparing Thai people to be well-rounded individuals in the 21st century with sharp minds (Head), practical skills (Hand), strong health (Health), and beautiful hearts (Heart). This is a critical mission for all sectors in Thailand.

Furthermore, the activity aims to provide staff with knowledge and understanding of counseling principles, processes, and techniques, develop their counseling skills, and ensure systematic and high-quality mental health screening and counseling to enhance the capabilities of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya’s personnel and students.
